Moscow, May 4, SOURCE: Interfax - Bell ringers will use all three tiers of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower for ringing at a patriarchal prayer service in the Kremlin Annunciation Cathedral on May 7, the day of the newly elected Russian President Vladimir Putin's inauguration .
"This time we've prepared the whole three tiers that will make "presidential ringing" perfect," senior bell ringer of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior Igor Konovalov told Interfax-Religion on Friday.
He also said that 12-13 bells will be used.
As was reported, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will head a prayer service on May 7 for "beginning a good undertaking" at the Annunciation Cathedral on the occasion of Putin's inauguration. The elected president will attend the service. Prayers for welfare of the Motherland and inaugurated President will be said during the service. The tradition of holding such prayers were introduced by late Patriarch Alexy II.
After the parade is over, the bells on the Ivan the Great will start ringing. The Presidential Orchestra will perform Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" Great Gate of Kyiv
